MCACHE’s Student Activities Committee is preparing for the 13th annual Job Shadow Day scheduled for the week of January 29 – February 2, 2018, or any day in February, if that week does not work. The purpose of the job shadow day is to link graduate students enrolled in Health Services Administration programs at Eastern Michigan University, Oakland University, Siena Heights University, the University of Detroit Mercy, the University of Michigan and the University of Toledo to Health Care Executives in Southeast Michigan and Northwestern Ohio for a day of observation.
The job shadow day will:
Executives and students have reported that the day has been very valuable and informative. Previous evaluations of the event have been excellent and worthwhile for both the executives and the students. If you are willing to participate in this job shadow day, please click on the link below to submit your contact information including, name, phone number, administrative assistant’s phone number, your e-mail address and organization’s address by January 16, 2018.
The University representatives will attempt to match you with a student who has an interest in your area of expertise. The match will be done in mid-January and you will be notified as soon as possible following the match. The student will also contact you and confirm the best date for the job shadow day during that week, or make arrangements for a different day depending on your schedule. As you plan for the job shadow day, consider scheduling management meetings, planning meetings and experiences with other executives in your organization on a day that will be most beneficial for the student.
